- The song was not released until Al's third album because it took a long time to get approval from both the publisher of the original song and from Lucasfilm for using their character in the title.
- The song was recorded for Al's first album in March, 1982, but that recording has been lost.
- Starting in the 1990s, when performing this song live, a section was added near the end in which the band goes into a chant. (This chant was originally performed as part of "Another One Rides The Bus" in 1991 for Dr. Demento's 20th anniversary concert filmed for Comedy Central.)
