Dr. Demento's Demented Pick Of The Week
For four months in 1983, a weekly one-song Dr. Demento program was produced
by Westwood One. It was called "Dr. Demento's Demented Pick Of The Week" and
was distributed to the same stations which carried the weekly two-hour program.
Following are the songs used for each week. Exact airdates varied from station
to station, as they were allowed to play the show up to ten times per week, or
more if desired. Not all stations aired the program.
The show was distributed in the U.S. on 5" reels of tape running at 7 1/2
ips. The Canadian version of the show was distributed by Media-Access in
three groups of five shows per 7" reel at 7 1/2 ips. Airdates probably
varied.
