- The New 1964 Version is a follow-up with different lyrics where the boy returns to camp the next year. The single version was recorded live on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson". A studio version was recorded shortly thereafter, but was not released until the 2005 box set.
- The Nevada Style version uses yet another (short) set of lyrics.

- The jacket of the original LP spells it "Muddah", but the label of LP and 45 show "Mudduh" as do most other sources.
- Allan also wrote another version in 1963, which he performed Saturday, September 28, 1963 at The University Of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. This had lyrics about the school ("Hello mudduh, hello fadduh, here I am at alma mater..."), and was published in his autobiography A Gift Of Laughter, but no audio recording is known to exist.
